The short walk shows only a very small part of the Kalkzoom, which is part of the Nature 2000 network. However, the walker gets an impression of the biological wealth of the site: a beautiful limestone grassland, a forest in a valley with ashes and elms, alders, serviceberries, and blackthorns. The limestone grassland has been created by extensive grazing with few animals per hectare. At the end of the walk, you will pass by a disused quarry. With a bit of luck, wild carrots and oregano can be seen here, or a slow worm, a lizard that has no legs anymore.
