An easy wide forest road takes you slowly rising from the valley of the Semois to the plateau of Le Terne. Here you have an expansive view of the surrounding hills. A well-equipped picnic area and barbecue are set up at Camp du Blaireaux: a memorial to the resistance fighters during World War II. Also, the Chapelle du Flachis a bit further along the route is a reminder of the fallen maquisards. The return journey to the valley partly follows an old Roman road that ran northward from France over the Semois.
