Directions for the walking treasure hunt in Duisburg

We start at the Church square in Duisburg (Tervuren). With your back to the church, after 30 meters, take the Pastoriestraat, a small street to the left of the square. The road becomes unpaved, and at the T-junction (by a chapel), you turn right and then take the first road on the left.

Cross the Achterstraat diagonally to the right (Voarenberg). This brings you to the Tervuursesteenweg. Here, you turn right. Then take the next path to the right (at the bus stop) to reach Ruysveld. There, you turn left and then again left (still on Ruysveld).

This brings you to the Beeldekensgatstraat where you turn right. 50 meters further, next to house number 21, choose a path to the right (Plantsoendal). You end up again on the Achterstraat where you turn left. This takes you to the Hertswegenstraat.

Go right, and just before the street bends to the right (at house number 1), take a left onto a field path and immediately after that right (Tenhertswegen). Keep following this road until you cross the paved Kouterweg. The path is now called "Dorre Dondersteen". At the T-junction (Dorreweg), go right. The Dorreweg ends at Vossemberg where you turn right.

After 250 meters (opposite house number 84a), take a sharp left onto the unpaved road. After about 700 meters, take the first road on the right (just before the bench). After 800 meters, cross the Veeweidestraat and continue along the Oliestraat, which you follow slightly to the left. At the next Y-junction, turn left. The road ends at an intersection with multiple roads, with a beautiful summer lime tree in the middle of the intersection (last year still a candidate for “Tree of the Year”). Then go right and continue your way on the Huldenbergstraat. At the T-junction, turn right (Merenstraat) and you return to your starting point.
