The walk starts at the Piervenshoek. 'Hoek' meaning 'place' was regularly used in Middle Dutch and meant a remote, forgotten place: a remote corner. Follow the banks of the meandering Dijle and pass the bunker with a 3 km long anti-tank ditch and admire the iron, protected Hans bridge along the way.
