The landscape between Vlezenbeek and Sint-Pieters-Leeuw must once have been forested, as the locals refer to the area as Hogebossen. Yet today, you’ll walk through a vast landscape of fields and meadows. You’ll pass beautiful, historic buildings such as Groenenberg Castle, Hof ter Nederloo, and Inkendaal Castle. Take a moment to relax at the Witseboom—you’ll recognize it from the TV series *Witse*. This is where the police commissioner would come to reflect after yet another difficult murder case in Halle. The panoramic view stretches all the way to the high-rises of Brussels.
