Discover the beautiful Webbekoms Broek nature reserve. Here, you’ll walk through the floodplain of the Demer and Velpe rivers, amid a patchwork of hay meadows, grasslands, wet forests, and reed beds. The area is protected at the European level as a Birds Directive site due to the presence of endangered species such as the honey buzzard and the bluethroat. To round off your trip, you can visit the Halve Maan provincial park, where there’s plenty to do.

Before you set out: Follow the junction markers of the De Merode Hiking Network or the signs with a red triangle.
