Discover the serene atmosphere of the Norbertine Abbey in Averbode. The gatehouse dates back to the 14th century. From here, take a walk through the Averbode Bos en Heide nature reserve, which consists of ponds, heathland, dunes, forests, and grasslands. You’ll also explore the forests of the Mariapark and the Weefberg, where you’ll enjoy a stunning view. A heavenly ice cream at the famous “Lekdreef” is the perfect way to end your walk.
