This walk tells us the facts of war on the Dender in May 1940, later called the "Battle of the Dender." You'll be walking in the footsteps of the 19-year-old slim and blond boy, Private Harry Haigh from Huddersfield who died heroically at Teralfene. You'll walk past bomb craters and war graves on the banks of the Dender. This walk is signposted with a 6-sided sign with the name 'Harry Haighwandeling'.
