A trip of 155km that passes the Atomium.
You start at the Church of Reet. After that, you ride through Zemst towards Zaventem airport. Then a short stretch in Brussels along the cycling highway. It is better equipped for cyclists here than you might expect. You ride past the Church of Our Lady of Laeken, the park of Laeken, and the Atomium before heading back out of the capital. A quick visit to Schepdaal and Lennik to see where Remco trains when he's home. Not a flat meter then. You ride through Denderleeuw (Cycling café 't Sas at Kaaistraat 2, Denderleeuw will be my stop next time, closed on Monday and Tuesday) and Aalst to Dendermonde, and then ride back through Puurs to Boom. Then just 'a little' up Bosstraat, and you are back at the Church of Reet where you can enjoy a drink, tired but satisfied.
