Surprising Vilvoorde? Surprisingly green, that's for sure! Right next to the busy Brussels Ring Road and on the border with Grimbergen, you will find the Tangebeek Forest. An old park forest and you'll be able to tell by the somewhat bizarre exotics among the native deciduous trees. Like the giant silver fir, the California cypress and the tree of heaven. You also duck under the Ring Road to the Koningslo neighborhood where the Roman Stone Road - a beautiful hollow road - takes you past Living Tomorrow or the House of the Future.
