A delightful introduction to the quiet villages of Rossem, Imde, and Meusegem. You’ll be amazed that these villages are so close to Brussels and yet have remained completely rural. The large, open sandy-loam field, also known as the Imdse Kouter, is among the best agricultural lands in the world. At the start of World War I, this area was the scene of “The Battle of the Imdse Kouter.” A war memorial was erected in its memory, visible from afar across the landscape.
