ZZW I R - Béthune (FR) - R

We start this beautiful road in a south-westerly direction along sloping side roads via Moorslede towards Kruiseke and from there we pass Ten Brielen after about 21 kilometers, the altitude profile remains almost flat. We cross Warneton-Waasten and in Houplines we dive France from here it goes to Herlies followed by Marquillies and through La Bassée then to Essars from where we pedal for about 4 kilometers along the Canal d'Aire to La Bassée, on the other side of the bank is Bethune which is immediately the furthest point of our route. From there, we return along Calonne sur La-Lys via Merville where you can boost the energy arrow and fill the water bottles. From here it goes towards Le Doulieu and after 124 km we see the beautiful Bailleul in the distance, we do not know this but it means that the landscape begins to tilt again from here. Once back in Belfgië, we pedal through the Kemmelberg provincial estate (no more) and can enjoy "a drink with a view" here on the most beautiful terrace of Kemmel in De Hollemeersch, besides, the owner fills your water bottles with a smile for free. From there it goes at a rapid pace to Ypres along Sint-Juliaan to the Passchendaele battlefield and ends at Roeselare. Good luck and enjoy.
