City tour Veurne

This city walk, which I have slightly adjusted and has a total distance of 4.8 kilometers, begins at the Grote Markt, near the information office: tourism office. Expect about 2 hours for the walk, which will take you along paved and unpaved paths to the most beautiful spots in Veurne.

At Grote Markt, there are numerous gastronomic establishments where you can enjoy a delicious coffee before the walk, or you can take a seat at a table around noon to try one of the many tasty snacks prepared for you here. On nice days, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Grote Markt and the Sint-Niklaasturm from the large terrace outdoors during your meal or tasting.

Upon leaving the Grote Markt, you head directly to Sint-Walburgapark. Cozy streets and alleys accompany you on your way along the Vaubanpark and the city's yacht harbor. Be sure to climb the Sint-Niklaasturm and be surprised by the breathtaking view over the city and its surroundings. Access to the tower is completely free, but be sure to keep an eye on the carillon that chimes every quarter hour, as it can be deafening once you are near the bells.

P.S.: You can park for free in the edge parking lot Oude Vesten on Oude vestingsstraat. This is located right next to the cemetery and is only 400 meters on foot from the Grote Markt.
