Vespa Club Tessenderlo

Club ride: September 3, 2023 - departure 1 PM

The route will take us through the quiet Kempen, which is home to our Robist. We will depart from the clubhouse in Tessenderlo and pass by Olmen to ride through some hamlets of Mol; Ezaart, Millegem, Achterbos, Donk, Sluis, towards the Witgoor where you can also find the famous SAS4 tower and the surf club located at the excavated water well known as the white sand of Mol. At the surf pit, you can comfortably settle down on the terrace with a beautiful view over the water and the pure nature surrounding it. In the distance, you can also see the Sibelco factory responsible for sand extraction.

Since the Surf Club was not available during our ride, we chose to stop at Watersport | Mol-Ski | Mol (molski.be) to have a drink on the terrace. Luckily, the weather was nice and we could enjoy the water skiers present who provided some spectacle. Be sure to check the website to find some photos.

Our journey continues through Witgoor, Brasel towards Kasterlee, making a stop in Geel Ten Aard at Café Welkom. Meanwhile, this stop is one we have visited several times with the club and where we are warmly welcomed. This stop offers more than enough places on the terrace and an equally large parking space where we can safely park our Vespas.

From here, we go around Geel towards Oosterlo, Eindhout, continuing along the Albert Canal through the industry where large containers are stacked meters high. Here, you feel incredibly small!

After adding an extra 120 km to the odometer, we arrive back at the clubhouse where we talk again about our wonderful day. We also enjoy being on the terrace and savoring the last rays of sunshine of the day.
