Exploring the Ardennes villages

From the center of Houffalize (junction no. 40), you leave the valley via rue Sainte-Anne. After a fairly steep start, you continue on the high plateau to the north of the Nature Park. Along the way, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Fairy Valley and the Martin Moulin at an orientation table. This is the ideal opportunity to make a stop in the heart of the village of Wibrin (36) before you climb back through the forest to the heights of the Plateau des Tailles (12).

At the highest point, at over 600 m altitude, the route descends into the Cedrogne forest. After that, several villages follow (Montleban -57, Cherain - 56, and Steinbach - 33) with a rather remarkable historical center in terms of cultural heritage.

For several kilometers, we continue our route on the RAVEL de Gouvy-Bourcy-Bastogne (former railway line) to Buret (42). After passing through the village, you continue along a country road through the vast plain of the Bastogne plateau. Afterwards, you return to Houffalize via the RAVEL.
