Godveerdegemse Kapellekesroute

"Wherever you go along Flemish roads you will come across chapels". The site "https://kapelletjes.be" lists 9 chapels for Godveerdegem. One of them, the Our Lady of Assistance Chapel in the Leliestraat, "was" the most important. It was recognized as an immovable heritage site and was sporadically used for specific church services. After years of neglect and the fact that it had completely fallen into disrepair, it was finally razed to the ground relatively recently.

This recreational walk starts at the chapel on the corner of Wijnhuizestraat and Krassestraat and ends at the chapel in the Langestraat and therefore has a total of 8 chapels spread over barely 4km.
