Swampy Erwetegem

02/01/2024. The abundant rainfall has caused oversaturation and is causing swampy fields and meadows and local flooding. We start our walk in Kronegem at the junction with the Nelekouter. This must be about the highest point of our short hike. At the end of Eekhout on the Traveinsbeek - where all the water from higher fields and meadows and various streams and drainage pipes come together - passage is only possible with appropriate footwear.
