Along rural roads, we make our way to 'the Lion' where we find a rest stop. Then we walk straight to the very beautiful Merkenveld, which was purchased by the municipality of Zedelgem in the 1980s. On our way, we walk through both stately avenues and narrow picturesque forest paths. A bit further, we find the Hoogveld again where we pick up the 12km and continue walking towards the finish line.
