On the bike with Emile

The tourist services of Deinze and Waregem, in collaboration with mudel and Zeventiendorpen, have developed a new bike route that consists of 3 loops.

Departure for this route is in Sint-Eloois-Vijve, near his birthplace Gildhuis, and pedal 34km through the Leie landscape via Machelen and Waregem. Discover the many locations where Emile Claus found color and light for his sunny paintings, landscapes, and portraits. Follow the GPS and start where you want!

85% of the route runs through the junction network. Occasionally, an alternative route is chosen to pass closer to the POIs.

You can also choose a loop starting in Deinze (33km) or go for the full distance to Deinze and back (64km)!
