The tourist services of Deinze and Waregem collaborated with mudel and Zeventiendorpen to develop a new cycling route. Discover the inspiration sources of artist Emile Claus. The Leie provides the connection between his birthplace Sint-Eloois-Vijve and his beloved Astene on the Leie. Cycle 64km through the Leie landscape via Deinze, Deurle, Astene, Machelen, Sint-Eloois-Vijve, and Waregem. This way, discover the many locations where Emile Claus found color and light for his sunny paintings, landscapes, and portraits. Follow the GPS and depart wherever you want!

85% of the route runs via the junction network. Occasionally, an alternative route is chosen to pass closer to the POIs.
