Esneux: Roche aux Faucons & Ham around the Boucle de l'Ourthe

This hill walk takes you through the picturesque landscape of Esneux, starting near Camping Les Murets. There is a small parking lot free of charge.

As you set off along the banks of the Ourthe, you get a first glimpse of the meadows in the Boucle de l’Ourthe. A small trail between two houses marks the start of your ascent to Roche aux Faucons, where panoramic views of the meandering Ourthe River await. There are several benches near the edge of the rock where you can take a break and enjoy the view.

The route continues through lush forests and tranquil paths all the way back down to the Ourthe. Behind the farmhouse, you can proceed alongside the river banks. The last 1.5km to Esneux is on a busier road.

Arriving at Esneux, you'll find an array of cafés and restaurants for a refreshing break. As you leave Esneux, the route ascends once more, guiding you to the historic hamlet of Ham, on top of a rolling hill and marked as a cultural heritage site. Concluding your loop back to Camping Les Murets, the route proceeds along and over the river Ourthe.
