Today we will ride across the border towards the Netherlands under supervision to visit the Vespa Garage. A shop where you, as a Vespa enthusiast, are more than welcome; here, they share the same passion and breathe new life into old Vespas. There is a private collection on display that Joep and Willem have gathered over the years. When you hear Joep speak for the first time, you will undoubtedly notice that he still has the buzz and a great love for Vespa vintage models. You can visit the shop by appointment with Joep and Willem.

Of course, a special route has been mapped out by ride master Peter Knippenberg. The total route is 147 km, and there are 3 stops planned to grab a bite to eat or stretch our legs.

1st stop 54 km: Tamoil Gas Station Reusel (just over the border)

2nd stop: Vespa Garage 77 km (Netherlands)

3rd stop 112 km: Parking Postel

The route takes us along the most beautiful winding roads of Tessenderlo, Geel, Kasterlee to cross the border into Arendonk towards Reusel. In Reusel, we will stop at a gas station with plenty of parking space.

From here, we will continue through Hilvarenbeek until we arrive at the Vespa Garage in Biest-Houtakker. Here, we will be welcomed by Joep and receive a short tour of the shop and its private collection. Right next to the garage, there is an option to have a drink and enjoy an ice cream on the outdoor terrace. Given the sunny weather, this was more than welcome for many of us!

After a while, our ride master signaled that we should start our wasps to continue the journey. The turnout today was again great, and we counted 43 present wasps who were ready to embark on the second part.

Once again, we ride through the beautiful countryside via Diessen, Baarschot, Casteren and through Hapert city towards Postel, where we will pass the border back into Belgium.

In Postel, we will settle onto the large parking lot right next to all the food stalls where you can enjoy some delicious fries, hamburgers, or similar delights. Of course, dessert is also considered, and ice creams and waffles are available.

After filling our stomachs and quenching our thirst, we continue through Dessel, Mol, Meerhout until we arrive at the tennis grounds in Hamme, concluding this ride and day with a sunny feeling.
