Vespa Club Tessenderlo

Club ride: Mother’s ride 121km - May 11, 2024 - departure 10:30 AM.

On Saturday, May 11, the Vespa women will ride the mother’s ride (of course, non-mothers are welcome too).

We will depart promptly at 10:30 AM from our clubhouse for a ride of 121 km through backroads, beautiful streets, and narrow paths towards Peer, where after 40 km we will make our first stop at De 3 Swaentjes, one of the oldest cafes in North Limburg. A reserved table on the sunny terrace will be waiting for our arrival. After a drink and a snack and a pleasant chat, we will start our steel steeds to continue our journey through beautiful Limburg.

Now with some bigger and/or wider roads through Houthalen and Zonhoven but of course also along fields and beautiful winding roads to the planned second stop; Paddocksplace in Schulen Herk-de-Stad. We will arrive as tough women on Vespas and park ourselves among the heavy motorcycles such as Harley Davidsons.

We plop down on the terrace and order a nice non-alcoholic drink that was very welcome with today’s warm weather. After a break of a good half hour, we drive further towards Lummen, Halen, Diest where in Schaffen some little planes were making beautiful stunts and loops above our heads.

But we kept our eyes on the road because in traffic without road captains you actually need more than two eyes. At 5 PM we return to our clubhouse B&W and have a little chat afterwards. Before we head home, we fill up our Vespas again because tomorrow there’s another ride scheduled on our club calendar.
