Vespa Club Tessenderlo

Club ride: Living Molenkens ride Km - June 2, 2024 - departure 11 am. 

Ride Master: Alex Janssens

Today we will take a ride of 60 kilometers with a nice surprise!

We will set off and ride along the most beautiful roads that ride master Alex has prepared for us. With 51 wasps, we ride in a large group along Schaffen over the Kolenberg, where we climb a slope with a maximum gradient of 7.26%. Further on, we ride past the old Zelkermolen located on the Velpe at Zelemstraat 7 in the hamlet of Zelk. From there we proceed to the next slope in the Rozenstraat with a maximum incline of 7.46%. And if that’s not steep enough, we face a bit further the Doornhof in Bekkevoort where we climb up against a maximum of 12%. Quite an achievement of the 51 wasps and their drivers, I would say!

Through the area of the windmills, we ride towards prinsenbos over a slope with a maximum incline of 12.84%, and then it was high time to quench our thirst because the sun was shining again.

Alex had chosen café ’t Goegedacht to quench our thirst. No one expected it, but we also had to ride up the slope to reach the parking lot! Finally stopped and securely parked the wasp, now it’s time to settle on the terrace in the sunshine.

At 3 PM we continue towards Bakery Alex & Inge where the party could start.

The bakery of Alex & Inge has been around for 30 years and they wanted to celebrate that with the club members. Alex is closely involved as a Vespa rider, ride master, road captain. Whenever there is a free slot, he is there to share the passion with everyone.
