Nice walk from Nijlen station to Herentals station. There is also a possibility to split the walk because it passes at the station of Bouwel. Nijlen-Bouwel is 8.1 km and Bouwel-Herentals 11.3 km long.
The walk is mainly via paved roads We have tried to take as many car-free roads as possible and we have succeeded quite well. Here and there, due to lack of, a busy road has to be followed.
The walk also passes the mill of Bouwel and the Ruin of the Priory of Our Lady of the Throne. Both are worth taking a break. The beautiful Lourdes cave in the Molendreef is also worth a stop.
