Vespa Club Tessenderlo

Club ride: Valkenswaard 160 Km - June 30, 2024 - departure 10 AM.

Today we’re heading out to Valkenswaard where folklore festivities will take place in the square, according to ride master Rony. He had learned this earlier during the exploration of the ride. The curiosity is high among the present members.

After the briefing, we ride towards Balen, Mol Rauw, then cross the border into the Netherlands via Lommel. We travel through the beautiful winding Dutch roads through forests and open meadows. It strikes us that there are still really large farmers in this region who carry out their craft with immense love and passion.
Once we arrive in Valkenswaard, we park our Vespas in the large square and look for a cozy eatery where we can sit on the terrace. The sun was indeed out, and the temperatures were high enough to enjoy it.

We were a bit too early for the folklore festivities; by the time we had to leave, the groups were still setting up, so we had to miss this spectacle.

But no worries, the ride still had plenty to offer to surprise our members with beautiful roads and landscapes.
We continue towards Leende, Soerendonk, where we cross the border near Budel and Hamont-Hachel. Right next to the canal of Bochelt-Herentals, we take a short break to stretch our legs. This is certainly important for the ladies who ride along as a duo with us.

Now we continue to the last stop of the ride before returning to the club location. Here we pass through the most beautiful regions of Bochelt, Grote-Breugel, and as we ride between Peer and Ellikom via a large curve around Peer, we finally arrive at Hechtel-Eksel.

At 'TLochterhuys', we park our Vespas again and drop ourselves on the outdoor terrace. We enjoy the lovely atmosphere and speak to our new members here and there to gauge what they think of the Club and the ride. It quickly becomes clear that we are doing well as a club and that the efforts made are appreciated.

Our day couldn't have been better!

We will start the last 35 km and ride towards the nature reserve Veewei towards Leopoldsburg for one last beautiful drop through nature and the rural roads.

Pure enjoyment in this last stretch of empty farmer pathways without traffic or obstacles, often under the trees.

Once we arrive at the club location, we have one last drink during a cozy chat on the terrace. With a smile and a good feeling from a super successful day, we head home and thus the countdown can start again for the next club ride this coming Sunday.
