The walking route Oosteroever is one that you definitely have to experience. It takes you past the Ostend lighthouse – colloquially known as Lange Nelle – the dunes, the many fishing boats moored in the Fishing Dock, the new part of the city, and the OPEX, where only fishermen used to live.
