Club ride: Cremekes ride

With beautiful weather and 43 Vespas ready for departure, ride leader Gert took us on an adventurous journey. The name of the ride hinted at a tasty stop for a 'Cremeke'. But that was not all that Gert had in store!

A beautiful route of 95 km towards Herenthout was on the agenda, with two intermediate stops.

From our club location in Tessenderlo we followed a splendid course. Along Schoot, Veerle-Heide, and Bergom, we rode over the Marly bridge and through the Merode forests. We continued winding along, enjoying the sun on our helmets.

In Herenthout, we stopped at ZomerBaar Fonza, a quiet place far from traffic, with a cozy atmosphere and excellent service, perfect for a drink and a good conversation.

The journey continued to the Ijshoeve at Kruiskensberg and Zwart Water. Unfortunately, it was closed due to the holiday season, so ride leader Gert chose Bolleke Schol to honor the ride's name. But our journey didn't end there.

We continued our way along the Molen Van Bouwel to Noorderwijk, Oosterwijk, and finally to the town hall of Westerlo, where Bolleke Schol recently opened its doors. Here, we were treated to delicious ice creams and more! Behind the building, we parked and enjoyed a complimentary treat from the club: coffee, an ice cream, or something else.

The ride was fantastic, and the ice cream was a welcome refreshment.

After enjoying and filling our bellies, we jumped back on our Vespas to ride via Oosterlo and Eindhout to Vorst, thus returning to the club's location of VCT.
