From junction 75 we set off towards Bois-Du-Luc, where there is an old mine with typical miners' houses.
Soon we reach the "Ancien canal du Centre" with its many boat lifts via the junctions. We follow the picturesque towpaths towards Mons. At the "Grand-Place de Mons" we enjoy a refreshing drink on one of the many terraces.
After our break, we head towards the "Nouveau canal du Centre" towards La Louvière. We were amazed by the enormous technical ingenuity at the "Scheepslift van Strépy-Thieu" and were able to witness a transfer through the lift basin. We continued to follow the canal until we connected with the "Ancien canal du Centre" to return to the starting point.
