Cycling along old railways from Sint-Niklaas

This cycle route takes you along the former course of no less than 3 disappeared and 1 still existing railway line. You start at the station of Sint-Niklaas from where you follow the route of railway line 54 that used to run from Mechelen to Terneuzen. In Sint-Gillis-Waas you then change to railway line 77 that used to run all the way to Zelzate. In Moerbeke, a bend is then taken to end up on railway line 77A, which used to move trains between Moerbeke and Lokeren. In Lokeren you will then end up on the cycle path along the still heavily used railway line 59 to drive back to Sint-Niklaas station. Have fun!
