The Pijnven is a forest larger than 2000 hectares, perfect for hiking for hours. Especially with children, as they can recharge their energy in the huge play forest. What makes this walk so special is cycling through the trees, the Butterfly Valley, and the willow art installation “The Tree Inside” by Will Beckers.
In the Pijnven area, hiking and cycling tours are the main activities, but there are also meadows, shelters, and a forest museum. The ongoing exhibition provides a glimpse of the animals and plants in the Limburg Kempen. Starting points are the forest resident community and forestry.
