"This walk mainly takes place on paved roads and connects the historical centers of Aldeneik and Maaseik. You start at the Sint-Annakerk, whose history dates back to the well-known sisters Harlindis and Relindis. You will pass by the gravel pit Heerenlaak and regularly enjoy a beautiful view of the Maas. About halfway, you are only a short distance from the village center of Ophoven. At the end of the walk, you can catch your breath in the very nice lounge of Wijndomein Aldeneyck, where the wines of Karel Henckens can be tasted by the glass in combination with a tapas platter."
