This gravel ride takes you on a peaceful and scenic journey through the hinterland of the West Coast towards Diksmuide. You’ll wind your way through charming villages like Wulpen, Avekapelle, and Pervijze before following the Frontzate trail towards the historic town of Diksmuide. On the way back, you head north along the Yser River, passing war relics and cultural heritage sites that echo the region’s past.
Back on the Frontzate, the route continues north to Nieuwpoort. For those looking for a unique experience, there’s an option to turn left at the Yser estuary and ride a stretch along the beach. The loop finishes with some beautiful sections of the Sport Vlaanderen mountain bike network, guiding you through the dune landscapes past the Doornpanne and the Hoge Blekker.
