A double circular walk in the Heuvelland municipality of Kemmel and the Kemmelberg, starting at the tourist office (Sint-Laurentiusplein, 8956 Kemmel, Belgium).

We cross the marketplace (Dries) and walk through the Warandepark, where the town hall is housed in an old castle.
First, we take a detour along the Lettenberg (there are bunkers in the slopes), to then explore the 156-meter-high Kemmelberg. Immediately the highest point in Flanders! We pass by, among other things, a French mass grave and an impressive war memorial. Over the vineyards of Monteberg, we reach the highest point of the 'mountain'. On the backside of Warandepark, we walk back towards Kemmel. The provincial domain has recently been expanded with the old parkland of the Geelhand de Merkem family, which is located on the other side of the village.
