Through the wild-romantic moor: Venn landscape and Weser valley

At any time of the year, the Venn has an impressive display of plant life to offer: In spring, delicate white-pink dots of the moss berry; in late summer and autumn, the purple heather; and in winter, the bizarre silhouettes of the gnarled moor birches.

Description: In the High Venn and its surroundings, the landscape is rather hilly. Our route does not have any extreme inclines, but it does include some longer, easy to moderately difficult stretches that lead uphill. About two-thirds of the route is paved and it also goes over well-maintained forest paths. You come into contact with motor traffic only minimally.
