Four Corners Forest walking route

The Vierkavenbos walking route takes us through a variety of landscapes. In the stream valleys formed by the Passendalebeek and the Collievijverbeek, we walk over the Stroroute, a former railway bed. In this green environment lies the relatively young Vierkavenbos, a healthy complex of deciduous trees, hedges, and meadows where numerous bird species have found their home. Higher up, and closer to the center of Moorslede, we enjoy expansive views over the region. We walk around a vineyard and discover which cyclist was the first to call themselves the ‘Lion of Flanders’.

This walking route is integrated as a suggestion loop in the walking network map Ieperboog East. There will be no separate brochure with a map for the walking route, but the signposting will remain. If this route is too long, you can opt for a shortened loop of 7.8 km or 8.5 km.
