Herzele is a municipality with 3 mills . This is an extensive walk along these 3 mills that are normally in operation on mill days.

A fixed mill day throughout Flanders is in any case the last Sunday of April.

Certain provinces also have their own extra mill day, some mills are open on Open Monument Day, ...

The mills that this walk passes are the following:

- Mill in Rullegem and Horse mill in Rullegem (horse-powered)

- Buysesmolen

- Mill ter Rijst

Special sights include the Herzele Castle and the Mini Lion of Waterloo.

The old Van Den Bossche brewery in Sint-Lievens-Esse exudes the past.
