Duinengordel is a unique natural core in the northeast of Limburg. This hilly and rugged area of 3,000 ha stretches over Oudsbergen, Maaseik, and Bree between Bosland and the Hoge Kempen National Park.

​Here, golden land dunes, deep blue ponds, purple blooming heaths, and vast forests alternate. Amidst this great variety of landscapes lies the Oudsberg, the highest and most famous land dune in Flanders. It rises above the tree tops, offering a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
