In Roclenge-sur-Geer, you can still find traces of the Roman military road between Cologne and France. The 'Via jecore' is now a beautiful cycling path. On the slopes, wood anemones bloom in spring and rare orchids in summer. A true natural gem.
However, the area has much more to offer! The forest has its charms in every season, and anyone searching for the sounds of the Yellowhammer, Crested Tit, or Nuthatch won’t be bored for a second. You also walk past a boundary chapel, pingoruin ruins, and embankments.
