Resterheide - green - 5.0 km

Experience the green route that takes you through the soothing pine forests of Resterheide. This walk also offers you a glimpse of the picturesque agricultural area north of the nature reserve.
Resterheide, located on the border of Hechtel-Eksel and Peer, is a versatile area where you can explore the source area of the Zwarte Beek and the Bollissenbeek. Although the name suggests otherwise, Resterheide mainly consists of agricultural land and coniferous forests.
The walking paths meander along serene ponds, expansive coniferous and deciduous forests, nature fields, and typical agricultural landscapes.
For an accessible and adventurous experience, there is the Ladybug Path, specially designed for strollers and wheelchair users, and adapted for the blind and visually impaired.
On the Heron Path, you can learn more about the forest in a playful way, and along the way, you can overcome obstacles on the Squirrel Twist.
