Beautifully located in the valley of the Jeker, you will find a lovely village called Eben-Emael. Here, the Jeker has carved its way to Maastricht, where it flows into the Meuse. Besides marl, flint has been mined in the Jeker valley for centuries. The museum in the distinctive tower of Eben-Ezer outlines the history of this. But of course, Eben-Emael is most known for its fortress.
