Heesakkerheide Pelt - blue - 2.0 km

Make a short exploratory route through the varied Heesakkerpark. You walk past the Molenmuseum and the Sevensmolen. Along the way, you see a beautiful pond and walk through both coniferous and deciduous forests. There is a cool playground for children. Along the blue route, you can enjoy several poems by Toon Van Hoof, the village poet of Overpelt from 2009 to 2011. This valley was shaped by the picturesque Dommel. Enjoy the varied landscape and discover two of the many mills from the mill municipality of Pelt. If you’re lucky, you might see the rare green butterfly in spring, or the small kingfisher butterfly in summer. The municipal walking park Heesakkerpark offers various tree species, an adventurous playground for children, a natural artwork on an islet, and a windmill. Also, take some time to visit the mills and the mill museum.
