The red walking route of the Oud-Rekem walking area lets you enjoy the Maas villages of Oud-Rekem, Boorsem, Kotem, and Uikhoven, and takes you through the nature reserve de Oude Weerd, where Natuurpunt engages in grazing with donkeys. You will also discover the hamlet of Herbricht, which is slowly fading away to make room for the Maas. Here you can also choose to wander along the river, through an area managed by Limburgs Landschap. You will discover the artwork 'Tree of Life' there.
