The walking area is a region of contrasts, with on one side the vast fields at the foot of the Kempen Plateau and on the other side the small-scale landscape of the Brand in Voorshoven. Stroll along the charming villages of Opitter and Tongerlo or explore the Zuid-Willemsvaart. Let yourself be surprised by the many watermills or the process of brewing beer at the brewery in Opitter. With a bit of luck, you might spot the kingfisher or the yellowhammer, and in spring, you'll feel like you're in De Brand with moments reminiscent of a tropical rainforest as the mysterious tree frogs attempt to outcall each other with their croaks. Agriculture, nature, and water alternate. KempenBroek at its best!
