You walk along the Bosbeek where you can spot signs of the beaver. This route connects the center of Neeroeteren with the nature reserve den Tösch. In Wurfeld, the Bosbeek forms the natural boundary between two contrasting landscapes. In the Tösch, you are surprised by a piece of small-scale wilderness in a marshy environment with wet forests, ponds, scrub, and thickets. On the northern side of the winding Bosbeek lies the area Langeren. Here, fields and meadows primarily shape the view. You will find a wealth of small landscape elements such as hedgerows and tree lines that are over 100 years old. Along this creek, there are still numerous watermills present, such as the Klaaskensmolen in Neeroeteren, the last working sawmill powered by water in Flanders, and the Wurfeldermolen in Wurfeld.
