In Wurfeld, the Bosbeek forms the natural boundary between two contrasting landscapes. In the Tösch, you are surprised by a piece of wilderness on a small scale in a marshy environment with swamp forests, ponds, thickets, and shrubs. On the northern side of the winding Bosbeek lies the area of Langeren. Here, fields and meadows mainly determine the view. You will find a treasure trove of small landscape elements such as hedgerows and tree edges over 100 years old. Along this brook, there are still several water mills present, such as the Klaaskensmolen in Neeroeteren, the last working sawmill in Flanders, and the Wurfeldermolen in Wurfeld.
