You cross the Zanderbeek and walk along the Bosbeek. Here you can discover traces of the beaver. This walk connects the village of Neeroeteren with the nature reserve den Tösch. In Wurfeld, the Bosbeek forms the natural boundary between two contrasting landscapes. In the Tösch, you are surprised by a piece of wilderness on a small scale in a marshy environment with wet forests, ponds, rough areas, and thickets. On the northern side of the winding Bosbeek lies the area Langeren. Here, fields and meadows mainly determine the view. You will find a wealth of small landscape elements such as hedgerows and tree edges over 100 years old. There are still many watermills on this stream, such as the Klaaskensmolen in Neeroeteren, the last remaining working sawmill in Flanders, and the Wurfeldermolen in Wurfeld.
