MTB trail Region Zulte-Dentergem-Grammene

Beautiful route for mountain bikes with 35 km off-road over a distance of 62 km in a region that few know can be so beautiful for mountain biking.
Start: Kerkplein Dentergem
Via church paths, curves, boulevards, and hiking trails to the riding school Kerstenburg (via the access road). Some muddy paths to reach the provincial area De Baliekouter in Wakken after 10 km. Follow the marked blue arrows there.
Through some more muddy paths (depending on the weather) and orchards towards Castle Te Lake in Zulte, where there is a very nice section along the old Leie river. The route passes through the church of Oeselgem, through a residential area, past a lake, a hiking trail, another orchard, and over a dirt path, arriving in Wontergem, where the same ingredients are on the menu. Afterwards, we reach Grammene, where the longest off-road section runs. Here, the old Leiemeersen are crossed. Continuing along hiking trails and dirt roads to Gottem, then back to Dentergem, before the tour heads towards Aarsele for a final section of forested area.
Destination: After about 62 km, the tour returns to Kerkplein in Dentergem.

Additional: The route is almost completely located in rural or conservation areas.
Please note that the 2 orchards (Wakken and Dentergem), the detour at the riding school Kerstenburg after 4 km, and the access after 8 km are private land. These can be easily bypassed if desired.
Level route with some short elevation changes. Plenty of variety.
