🌿 Retie Goorvijver – a loop full of water, silence, and small surprises

We start at the André Zajac stadium in the hamlet of Hodonk, where a spacious parking lot allows for a relaxed beginning. We walked the loop clockwise, first taking us along car-free roads, surrounded by the calm rhythm of the Kempen landscape.

Before long, the Goorvijver appears: a tranquil body of water where reeds and reflections play the lead role. From there, we follow the Colateur, a winding ditch that guides us through a surprisingly green setting. This water line takes us almost back to the starting point, acting as a natural guide through the landscape.

Along the way, we also pass camping Berkenstrand. It was noticeably quiet there – a peaceful stop in a domain that usually buzzes with life. The route almost closes unnoticed, with a final bend that leads us back towards the stadium.

A walk that breathes simplicity and serenity, with water as a silent companion, and the Kempen at their purest. Ideal for those who love tranquility, nature, and a touch of wonder.
