This walking route takes you through the rich history of Berlaar. You start at the impressive town hall and the former teacher's residence, a beautiful example of 19th-century architecture. As you continue your walk, you will arrive at the market square with the kiok and the wortelpoel, a lively place full of character. The route leads you to the old malting and brewery De Kroon, where you can feel the traces of the past. De Zwanenberg, once the highest point of the village, tells its own story of bygone times. Don't forget to take a look at Brewery Het Hoefijzer, a historic building that takes you back to the mid-19th century. This easy loop of 4.2 kilometers offers a perfect mix of history and architecture, while you enjoy the pavement and the good condition of the path.
